Keyword Intelligence
Go beyond search volume. See which keywords actually drove rank improvements based on real before-and-after data from thousands of apps.
Keywords That Actually Drive Results
Traditional ASO tools tell you how many people search for a keyword. ASODOG tells you which keywords actually moved the needle for apps like yours. That is a fundamentally different kind of intelligence.
We track keyword rankings daily across seven English-speaking markets and correlate keyword adoption with real performance outcomes. When an app adds a keyword to its title or metadata and sees a ranking improvement, we capture that signal. When the same keyword drives results for multiple apps in your category, you know it is worth targeting.
Beyond Search Volume
Most keyword tools work like this: type in a word, get a search volume estimate. That tells you demand exists, but nothing about whether targeting that keyword will actually help your app. Search volume alone ignores competition density, relevance fit, and whether the keyword converts browsers into downloaders.
ASODOG approaches keywords differently:
- Proven performers - See which keywords apps in your category added recently and whether those additions correlated with rank improvements
- Category-specific insights - A keyword that works in Productivity may not work in Games. Every recommendation is filtered through your category context
- Adoption trends - Track which keywords are gaining traction across your category. If 40% more apps added “automation” this month, that signals a trend you should evaluate
- Before-and-after evidence - For every keyword recommendation, see the actual apps that used it and what happened to their rankings
How Keyword Discovery Works
ASODOG discovers keywords through the App Store’s own suggest API, tracking what the store recommends when users start typing. We monitor these suggestions daily across all seven markets and cross-reference them with the keywords that top-performing apps use in their metadata.
When we identify a keyword that meets three criteria - meaningful search activity, limited competition from established apps, and proven correlation with ranking improvements - it gets promoted to active tracking. From there, we monitor search positions for that keyword across every app in our database.
